Low Battery Alert, Flashing 12:00 or Timer Not Turning On
Status: Solved
After prolonged use, timers sold between June 2022 - December 2023 may experience an issue where they will show a 'Low Battery Alert', flash 12:00 or fail to turn on altogether. The cause of this issue has been traced to a faulty power adapter which we have are no longer using.
If you are impacted by this, we will replace the adapter for FREE. Please contact our support team at support@gymnext.com or use the chat function on our website and they will assist you.

New iPads (Generation 11) Not Connecting to Flex Timer
Status: Solved.
The new Generation 11 iPads have a bug in their Bluetooth code that causes a timeout while establishing the communication channel between the iPad and our timers.
We have traced the issue down to the iPad ending communication with our timer during the initial handshake/connection establishment prematurely. This is unfortunately an issue with the iOS code and not our timers code.
Fortunately, we did find a workaround. It requires using a non-Generation 11 iPad/iPhone (any iOS device will do - except for the new iPads). Go to Devices > Flex Timers. Choose our Device and press Settings. Then choose Firmware Update. It should ask to update the timer to v3.9. Choose OK and update the timer.
Once the timer is upgraded to running v3.9, the Generation 11 iPad will be tricked into connecting to it like normal and avoiding it's own internal bug. Hopefully Apple fixes the issue on their end soon, but until then, this is the best work around and required for the new iPads to connect to our timers.
